Review Summary

Aerolase positions itself as a multi-condition laser that prioritizes safety, versatility, and minimal downtime.

Here’s the key insight:

Aerolase delivers broad, low-risk improvements across multiple skin concerns
but typically requires multiple sessions and patience to justify its value.

It performs best as a series-based treatment, not a one-time solution.

Provider Praise for Aerolase

(Industry sentiment from Social Media, Google & Reddit)

From a provider standpoint, the most consistent strength is versatility.

Providers repeatedly noted:

• Ability to treat acne, pigmentation, redness, and texture in one platform
• Safe across a wide range of skin types and tones
• Non-ablative approach with minimal downtime

Clinically, providers appreciate that Aerolase targets deeper layers of the skin, triggering collagen remodeling while minimizing surface damage.

There is also strong support for:

• Combination treatments (peels, microneedling, etc.)
• Flexible treatment intervals
• High patient tolerance due to low discomfort

Several providers described it as a “stackable” device, fitting easily into broader treatment plans rather than acting as a standalone solution.

Provider Complaints About Aerolase

(Industry sentiment from Social Media, Google & Reddit)

Negative and mixed feedback centers on expectations and performance consistency.

The most common concerns included:

• Slower visible results compared to more aggressive lasers
• Questionable effectiveness for deeper pigmentation (e.g., melasma)
• Dependence on combination treatments to achieve stronger outcomes

Some providers also questioned attribution of results:

• Improvements may come from adjunct treatments rather than Aerolase alone

A minority of strong negative opinions were present, including providers who felt the device underperformed relative to alternatives.

Overall, the theme is clear:

Aerolase is safe and versatile, but not always the most powerful option.

Patient Reviews About Aerolase

(Industry sentiment from Social Media, Google & Reddit)

Patient reviews were collected from first-person commentary across forums, social platforms, and public discussions.

These reviews were scored using the same sentiment-based methodology applied to provider reviews.

Patient Reviews: 3.5 out of 5 stars

What Patients Are Saying

Patients consistently highlight:

• Minimal discomfort during treatment (often described as warm rather than painful)
• Gradual improvement in acne, redness, and skin tone
• Little to no downtime

Many patients report best results after multiple sessions, often in packages of 4–8 treatments.

However, negative sentiment is consistent in specific areas:

• Lack of visible results after several sessions
• High cost relative to perceived improvement
• Breakouts or purging during early treatments

There are also reports of:

• Hyperpigmentation not improving as expected
• Skin appearing worse before improving
• Regret when compared to other laser options

A clear pattern emerges:

Patients who commit to a full treatment series and have realistic expectations tend to be satisfied.
Those expecting faster or more dramatic results are more likely to be disappointed.

Aerolase Cost

Estimated Treatment Cost: ~$200–$500 per session
Typical Treatment Plan: 4–8 sessions

Providers frequently referenced:

• Revenue driven by treatment packages rather than single sessions
• Higher lifetime cost due to multiple sessions required
• Strong positioning as a maintenance or adjunct treatment

Cost perception is closely tied to consistency and cumulative results.

Final Verdict

From a provider perspective, Aerolase is a safe, versatile laser that integrates well into multi-treatment protocols.

Best suited for:

• Patients seeking gradual improvement with minimal downtime
• Acne, redness, and early pigmentation concerns
• Providers building layered treatment plans

Not ideal for:

• Patients expecting rapid or dramatic transformation
• Deep or resistant pigmentation cases
• Practices positioning it as a standalone solution

Aerolase is not about intensity.

It’s about consistency.

And for the right patient, that tradeoff works.

It does a couple of things decently – tiny veins, faint sunspots, a modest amount of improved texture and tightening. Also does toenail fungus fairly well.

Does NOT do most things at all – we’ve refunded thousands of dollars of hair removal packages, melasma, veins, warts, skin tags.

Our rep is attentive but with the perpetual undertones of we are doing something wrong. They’ve tested the lasers, we did 8 hours of training, we are following THEIR protocols. The answer is NOT that I need more training (or that I need to sell the patient another package)

Overall – WAY oversold. I don’t not want to have it at the office – but also paid way too much for it and will NEVER recoup it. Ever.
